ABOUT THE TREATMENT

The first of its kind, Profhilo® is a revolutionary 'beneath the skin' hyaluronic acid moisturising treatment, made with a patented technology. This results in a unique hyaluronic acid injectable gel, which has a prolonged stimulating activity on the dermal cells. When injected into skin, Profhilo® not only boosts and hydrates the skin, but also remodels ageing and sagging tissue restoring firmness and improving laxity.

The treatment is suitable for men and women as well as offering skin benefits for patients of all ages.

Two treatments a month apart are required for optimum results. The glow can lasts for a couple of months but the collagen stimulating benefits continue to work over the following six months. One single treatment can be repeated every 3 months and is generally part of a bespoke positive ageing plan.

    All treatments are subject to a mandatory face to face consultation to determine suitability which includes medical history and a facial assessment. A personalised treatment plan will be agreed to target concerns and to reach the desired outcomes.

    TREATMENT

    Profhilo® is an injection treatment performed with little/no discomfort during a 20-30 minute appointment without the need of local anaesthetic cream. There is minimal or no downtime, some bruising may occur after the treatment. Results are generally visible in 1-2 days after treatment and will last up to 6 months with 2 treatments.

  • Profhilo consists of ultrapure hyaluronic acid but it is different than dermal fillers. It is a skinbooster. While Fillers are designed to restore volume, improve definition and contour or the face, Profhilo has a biostimulatory effect design to boost skin health and hydration without changing features of the treated area.

  • Profhilo is one of the most popular treatments among all age groups because of the healthy glow it delivers, but it is particularly sought-after by those who are fighting initial signs of ageing. The treatment is contraindicated If you’re pregnant or nursing.

  • The most common areas of treatment include the face and neck but can also be used for the décolletage, hands, and body.

  • Results start to be visible in a couple of days and can last up to 6 months. Repeat treatments can turn a temporary improvement into a lasting enhancement of your appearance.

  • A very thin needle is used to performed the treatment so there is no pain associated with it, but if you are concerned about discomfort, a topical numbing cream is applied to the skin before beginning of the treatment.

  • While there is no real downtime or side effects associated with Profhilo, it is important to note that you may experience some bruising and swelling because of the injections. You may also be able to see a small lump at the injection site for less than 24h.
