    TREATMENT

    Performing dermal fillers treatments requires an in depth knowledge of anatomy, a detailed facial examination and highly skilled and artistic eye to achieve natural looking results.

    The treatment involves the injection of the dermal fillers into the skin. These products are formulated with lidocaine which is an anaesthetic to make the injections more comfortable. Topical numbing cream will be applied to the skin before beginning of the treatment to make the treatment very comfortable.

    The treatment is performed during a single appointment which can last up to 1 hour. A review in 2-4 weeks is generally recommended to determine if more product is needed. After the treatment mild bruising, redness, temporary tenderness and swelling may be experienced. Results generally last 4-5 months.

  • Dermal fillers are gels made of hyaluronic acid which is a naturally occurring substance produced by our body every day. They are used to add volume where it is needed and because they are made of Hyaluronic acid they will gradually integrate within the skin.

  • Because dermal fillers are progressively absorbed by our body results are not permanent and can last up to 6-8 months.

  • Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance inside our skin, making it highly safe and fully reversable. Common temporary side effects include tenderness, bruising and swelling. Allergic reactions and serious side effects are extremely rare and are discussed in depth during the consultation. For these reasons only medically trained practitioners should perform the treatment.

  • Lip fillers are injected with a very small needle or cannula and they contain a small amount of local anaesthetic which makes the treatment very comfortable and almost painless. In addition a topical numbing cream is applied to the skin before beginning of the treatment.
