ABOUT THE TREATMENT

Ameela® is an injectable solution, based on polymerized polynucleotides.  The polynucleotides used in Ameela® are purified, making them free from other components, such as proteins, which can trigger an immune response. It is an innovative and effective way to restore skin firmness and elasticity, and ensure healthy skin that is protected against free radicals and cellular damage.

Polynucleotides connect with multiple cell receptors, initiating a multitude of reactions. Most importantly this attracts stem cells to the area, resulting in a strong repairing effect on the tissue. This also enhances the formation of new capillaries (angiogenesis) and changes the structure of the fibrilles in our tissue, which results in instant tightening and contouring of the tissue.

    CONSULTATION

    All treatments are subject to a mandatory face to face consultation to determine suitability which includes medical history and a facial assessment. A personalised treatment plan will be agreed to target concerns and to reach the desired outcomes.

  • Dermal Filler Treatment

    TREATMENT

    Performing injectable treatments requires an in depth knowledge of anatomy, a detailed facial examination and highly skilled and artistic eye to achieve natural looking results. The treatment involves the injection of polynucleotides into the skin.

    For sensitive patients a topical numbing cream can be applied to the skin before beginning of the treatment to make the treatment even more comfortable. The treatment is performed during a single appointment which can last up to 30 minutes.

  • Skincare

    REVIEW & SKINCARE

    . A review in 2-4 weeks is generally recommended to determine if more product is needed. After the treatment mild bruising, redness, temporary tenderness and swelling may be experienced. Depending on the area that has been treated and the product used, results last from 6 to 14 months.

    As part of the consultation, a medical grade skin care regime is recommended to protect and improve skin quality in order to make the results of the treatment last longer.

  • Ameela is a biostimulator, results are not permanent and can last up to 8 months, with 2 treatments 2 weeks apart.

  • The polynucleotides used are purified, making them free from other components, such as proteins, which can trigger an immune response. Common temporary side effects include tenderness, bruising and swelling. Allergic reactions and serious side effects are extremely rare and are discussed in depth during the consultation. For these reasons only medically trained practitioners should perform the treatment.

  • Ameela is injected with a very small needle or cannula and the treatment is not painful. You may experience mild stinging during the injection which will subside in a couple of minutes.

  • Ameela is a very popular treatment among all age groups because of the results it delivers, but it is particularly sought-after by those who are fighting signs of ageing. The treatment is contraindicated If you’re pregnant or nursing.

  • An initial improvement is generally immediately visible after the treatment. The final results is generally 4/6 weeks after the second treatment
